Christmas movies for kids
A Christmas Carol Several years It picked up four Academy Awards the year it was released, and has been a crowd pleaser ever since. Featuring a man put on trial for thinking that he's actually Santa Claus, the man soon has the whole town believing in him. The next year, Miracle on 34th Street was released to great critical acclaim. That's not to suggest that it is alone in that distinction, however.
Perhaps that is why so many identify it as the best Christmas movie of all time. It carries the hope of a new day with it. Starring James Stewart, Donna Reed, and Lionel Barrymore, this film captured the Christmas spirit in a time when the world was just starting to emerge from the destruction and desolation of World War II. The undisputed champion of Christmas films is the 1946 classic It's A Wonderful Life.
